One of those rare DJ partnerships, the Problem Kids are X-Press2's /
Ballistic Brothers' Rocky with studio partner Mark Wilkinson. After
their first single in 1997 on the ground breaking junior boys own
label and regular solo performances in the main room and bar at the
infamous ministry of sound this joint venture is set to break sound
barriers all over the country as their 4 dex and sampler venture take
effect.
Mark Wilkinson, also famed for his solo slots, received his
indoctrination managing one of london's most famous vinyl stores,
flyin' records. his studio skills and regular ministry slots led to
the partnership with rocky, projects with ashley beedle, soul 2 soul
and denise johnson. rocky needs no introduction as he has been a main
player in the dance scene for many years with the seminal "london
express" single by express2 storming the charts and many a dance
floor.s
Having had a succession of singles on junior boys own and just trax
they have now produced their debut long player "pump that dirty
groove" for paperecordings. it encompassed everything you would
expect from seriously fresh dance floor takes to more laid back vibes
allowing the boys to develop their sound.
Their second album on paper 'my first acid house' is however, work of
genius, dubbed by jockey slut as the first significant house album of
the 21st century, mark and rocky excelled in every genre of house.
from the dark, dirty and progressive grooves of title track my first
acid house to the soulful sunshine soaked original house sound
s'alright featuring steve edwards. also shining through are tracks
'it's over' with uschi classen and the madness that is 'dance to a
different drum' in collaboration with ashley beedle.
