After a long hiatus, we have decided to reactivate the acclaimed
Global Guidance series and shine the international spotlight on a
couple of esteemed Guidance alumni who helped jumpstart the label way
back when. The A side features the never before released final Mix of
"I'll take U Deeper" by NH2 (AKA Nigel Hayes) and Master D. Two of
the hottest names in house music at the moment combine to take the
listener on a deep, dark and dubbed out tech house journey. A sleazy,
hypnotic baseline, swirling voice activated acid squelches and washed
out textures slowly build into haunting bottom heavy bass bin shaker
that combines a minimal basic channel production aesthetic with tough
mood 2 swing style house beats. On the flipside, legendary Glasgow
deep house tri Fresh and Low prove they too can rock it in a tech
house style on "Where The Wolves Once Roamed" (B1). Warm, howling
call of the wild samples, soothing strings and crisp drum patterns
set a soothing tone until a raw, relentless analog baseline,
stuttered vocal samples and sharp echoed syth stabs take over the mix
and transform it a full on minimal jack track. On "Where The Wolves
Return" (B2) mix the boys feel the need for speed and turn out a raw
accelerated down that wouldn't sound out of place on Jeff Mill's Axis
label. In the dark we live!
