█ CATS IN SPACE is superb retro melodic rock with a █
█ poppy edge. Loving it. Cast your minds back to the █
█ best of the 1970s - bands like City Boy, and ELO. █
█ Add to the mix some elements of Queen and 10 CC █
█ with that smooth FM melodic edge of New England █
█ and you know what you can't go wrong with this CD. █
█ The writer, players and performers are hugely █
█ experienced and for once the amazon 'product █
█ description' is spot on. Main songwriter is Greg █
█ Hart, but for five songs he was assisted by 10 █
█ CC's Mick Wilson. "Too Many Gods" offers twelve █
█ 'commercial' (pardon the word) songs full of █
█ soaring vocal harmonies and choruses to drool █
█ over. Picking highlights is difficult as the █
█ quality never lowers, but for the moment it has to █
█ be the single "Mr Heartache" (with a guest █
█ appearance by The Sweet's Andy Scott) and the two █
█ songs on which we find co-songwriter Mick Wilson █
█ from 10 CC handling vocals, "The Greatest Story █
█ Never Told" (featuring the whole orchestral █
█ shebang arranged and composed by Mike Moran, well █
█ known for Freddie Mercury's "Barcelona") and "Man █
█ In The Moon". Impressive and a welcome breathing █
█ space between all these metal and AOR releases. █
