marko bussian came from vienna, where he hang out with musicians
like "sofa surfers" or "stereodays". besides those influences he
did his degree in sound engineering "tonmeister" at the university
of music vienna. he used to create very experimental stuff for the
broadcast (orf) at "kunstradio", sound installations in galleries,
musical and theatre works and live-engineering.
in 1995 he moved to frankfurt / germany to lead his skills to
filmscoring and sounddesign for international advertising
companies and film productions.
he also produced the unforgettable
deep-house group "glissando bros."
and ibiza-style "colecat".
in 2003 he moved to ibiza to expand
his work with "la.mia.bocca" and
"fous de la mer".
jean-charles "fou" vandermynsbrugge was born at the 3.th of
january 1958 in rabat morroko and grows up in the south of france
by the mediterranean see.
at the age of 16 he starts to play guitar and two years later he
discovers
the bass. working on different projects on the french coast
("from soul to bossa") he finally comes to francfort (germany)
where he starts playing the double bass as a jazz musician.
1996 he meets ralf hildenbeutel (producer of the project "earth
nation" and sven vΣth) and works with him as a mc for two "earth
nation lps (terra incognita & amnesia).
1999 he records as the solo artist "fou" the song "playing games
in the dark" by bmg and begins to produce his own music.
2001 he becomes the bass player from the house project
"glissando.bros" and plays with them at the sonar festival in
barcelona.
after a short trip to ibiza with marko bussian (one of the
producers of glissando.bros), they start to write on their own
music...
fous de la mer is born...
