  │  Both BCEE and Villem are no strangers to the art of collaboration,    ║
  │       with plenty of co-production credits in their respective         ║
  │   discographies as well as the odd track and remix cut together. If    ║
  │ you've been a fan of these BCEE and Villem hookups, you will be right  ║
  │   behind their new endeavour, The Vanguard Project. Presumably the     ║
  │ first of several releases, The Vanguard Project Vol 1 naturally comes  ║
  │   via BCEE's own Spearhead label and finds the pair traversing some    ║
  │  truly luxurious drum and bass soundscapes. Of the four tracks here,   ║
  │  most heads will be drawn to "Driftwood" and "Rhode House", with the   ║
  │    latter's supple, warm piano tones, crisp drums and heat treated     ║
  │               bassline marking it out as our favourite.                ║
