Introducing the fresh talent of Czech producer Boris Carloff delivering
here his debut EP for Red Salamanda records. Mr Carloff's last venture
was a 12" in 2003 for the Dis Tracktion label under the moniker
'Palm Beat'.
Here we witness Boris on a more broken and Jazz fuelled excursion.
The title track 'Good Stuff' is a collaboration with long term Prague
resident 'Charlie One' contributing here with her smooth vocals and emotive
lyrics. 'Boogie' is instrumental and ready for the dancefloor with its
broken and analogue twinges. On Side B there's a rework of 'Boogie '
where Boris is joined on remix duties by Ringo Kid and the resultà well...
lets just say its amusing and firing dancefloor action with plenty of old
skool attitude and squelch . And finally there's 'First Joy' with Boris
Carloff himself picking up vocal duties for a track with a batacada feel
that's full of deep sentiment.
All together an interesting package for Red Salamanda's second release!
