     "Domenico Guaccero (1927-1984) was one of the most significant
     and influential composers of the Italian New Music movement of
     the 1960s and 1970s. Co-founder of the "Centre for Electronic
     Music of the Rome Philharmonic Academy" in 1957,Guaccero was
     also one of the founder members of "Nuova Consonanza", which
     included important composers like Ennio Morricone and Giacinto
     Scelsi. In 1972 he founded (together with Alvin Curran) the
     "Centre for Experimental Music"; and between 1973 and 1976 they
     organized the improvisation and electronic music group "Musica
     Ex Machina".
     This important double CD box edition is the ultimate collection
     of the vocal compositions by one of the leading figures of
     Italian contemporary and aleatory music. The first piece "ROT"
     is the complete version of the piece originally written in
     1973, as the vocal parts have been added in July 2004 for its
     2nd performance ever, held in Rome during the celebration of
     the "Guaccero'year". It is therefore different from the piece
     presented on the LP, which is pure electronics and percussion
     stripped by any vocal part. The 2 CDs contains many
     extraordinary works, the majority of which has never been
     released before: a unique occasion to hear the lost voice of
     one of the most important musicians of the Italian avant garde
     scene of the 60s-70s."
