reads:s
"...which led us to the round stage for the performance by Philip Jeck,
surrounded by 10 Dansette Turntables. Using vinyl he has collected from
flea markets and the like Jeck is known for his layering of samples and
self made loops. This led to a performance which was filled with vinyl
hiss and crackle, controlled and layered in an intense manner, mixing
with samples and snatches of voice and melody that came through from the
records being used as tools here. On the whole an intriguing and
engaging set, though the last section where there was a certain excess
of some of the melodies being added didn't sit as well as the early
stages. Crackly mix of drones and melodies, with some nice fragile
sounds and odd plundered moments."
