From the ║ │ │║ first full album æValeÆ from 2008, the band ║ │ │║ seems to know only one direction: up. After four ║ │ │║ albums already, of which the latest æRavenheadÆ ║ │ │║ dates back to 2015, it is time for a reflection ║ │ │║ on the first years of the band and their rise to ║ │ │║ fame. This reflection got a physical shape in ║ │ │║ the collector æThe Book Of OganÆ, a very ║ │ │║ extensive package that should have the fans ║ │ │║ drooling all over. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ Now what is in that box? First of all there is ║ │ │║ two CDÆs, of which number one is a collection of ║ │ │║ songs from the four albums of the band. Of ║ │ │║ course there are the classics like æThe Things ║ │ │║ We Believe InÆ, æWe Are PiratesÆ and æTo New ║ │ │║ Shores Of SadnessÆ, but also less known songs ║ │ │║ like æMasksÆ, æAll These Dark YearsÆ and ║ │ │║ æFarewellÆ. The second CD is a re-release of the ║ │ │║ demo æTestimonium A.D.Æ, of which the rare ║ │ │║ copies are traded over the internet for large ║ │ │║ amounts of money. Of course, every fan probably ║ │ │║ has an (illegal) download of this disc, and that ║ │ │║ best-of CD does not feature any real surprises ║ │ │║ either. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ What makes this package really interesting are ║ │ │║ the two DVDÆs. The first one contains a ║ │ │║ documentary about the history of the band, from ║ │ │║ fifteen-year-old gaming boys who started a band ║ │ │║ until the successful tour supporting Powerwolf. ║ │ │║ The pictures and stories bring you very close to ║ │ │║ the band and it almost feels like you were part ║ │ │║ of all these adventures yourself. Orden Ogan is ║ │ │║ a bunch of humoristic guys, so there is plenty ║ │ │║ to laugh about on this DVD. From half the band ║ │ │║ being forgotten at a gas station on tour, to ║ │ │║ Chris Boltendahl of Grave Digger who is pointed ║ │ │║ in a subtle way that the cord of his microphone ║ │ │║ is unplugged while he is recording guest vocals. ║ │ │║ On this DVD you can also find all the video ║ │ │║ clips of the band, with the idiotic clip of æWe ║ │ │║ Are PiratesÆ as an obvious highlight, and a ║ │ │║ making-off of the æTo The EndÆ album, with among ║ │ │║ others impressive footage of the recording of ║ │ │║ the piano part of æTake This LightÆ in an old ║ │ │║ cathedral. DVD 2 comes with two concerts, Rock ║ │ │║ Harz 2015 and a club show from that same year. ║ │ │║ Add up to this some separate live songs and a ║ │ │║ few interviews. ║ │ │║ ║ │ │║ This package gives a complete and awesome image ║ │ │║ of one of the best German bands in the current ║ │ │║ scene. Of course this is an obligatory buy for ║ │ │║ the fans, who can take hours of viewing ║ │ │║ entertainment from the DVDÆs.
