█ █▓█ This box set album displays what The Glimmers are █▓█ █
█ █▓█ all about - eclectic DJ sets which will get any █▓█ █
█ █▓█ dancefloor moving. All your favourite █▓█ █
█ █▓█ hard-to-find Glimmers re-edits are here - the █▓█ █
█ █▓█ likes of Queen, Billy Idol, Roxy Music and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Sylvester rub shoulders with Jah Wobble, The █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Jungle Brothers, Whitey and The Residents!!! All █▓█ █
█ █▓█ tracks, of course, are selected, mixed, re-edited █▓█ █
█ █▓█ and ph#cked up by The Glimmers to perfection..... █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Influenced by DMC mix tapes, Grandmaster Flash, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Beat Street and graffiti, David & Mo Glimmer █▓█ █
█ █▓█ started their DJ activities in a small club in █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Ghent - Belgium, way back in 1985. Playing █▓█ █
█ █▓█ everything from Hip Hop to popular tunes from █▓█ █
█ █▓█ that time, the crowd was getting familiar with █▓█ █
█ █▓█ their various sets. Back in 1987, a legendary █▓█ █
█ █▓█ club called Fifty Five, hired them for Saturdays, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ where they played lots of New Beat, New Wave and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ old skool Acid House. As House music was █▓█ █
█ █▓█ exploding in clubs all over Europe, The Glimmer █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Twins took the best of those releases and mixed █▓█ █
█ █▓█ them into their sets, without being House DJs, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ but keeping the eclectic vibe by mixing re-edits █▓█ █
█ █▓█ of disco tracks in between, and even popular █▓█ █
█ █▓█ tunes from the likes of Prince, Madonna and █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Bohannon. A residency at Belgium's infamous █▓█ █
█ █▓█ Culture Club followed, where they regularly █▓█ █
█ █▓█ played alongside the club's other eclectic █▓█ █
█ █▓█ residents 2 Many DJs. █▓█ █
█ █▓█ █▓█ █
█ █▓█ The Glimmer Twins are now internationally █▓█ █
█ █▓█ renowned for their eclectic, part-underground, █▓█ █
█ █▓█ part-overground DJ selections, with sets at some █▓█ █
█ █▓█ of the world's best leftfield dance clubs. █▓█ █
