Of course youÆll all be checking this limited
clear-vinyl 12ö for the Ulrich Schnauss mixes, a
mutual appreciation club between Mr Schnauss and one
of his biggest influences Slowdive, of which Goswell
is an alumni. With a voice that is both haunting and
hopeful, Goswell is perfectly matched by Ulrich
Schnauss who spins graceful electronic webs around
her which shimmer like a latter day Twin Peaks
theme-tune. The depth of his production is further
revealed on Schnauss' Instrumental mix, where the
scope of the string arrangements are spread out bare
to be fully marvelled at. The other mix is provided
by The Earlies, operating here under their Names on
Record guise, and takes a less cosy perspective on
the source material that instead prefers to wrap
Goswell in a delicate shawl of icy melodies and
echo-laden atmospherics which gives a chilly nod to
Mum's early releases. EXTREMELY LIMITED COPIES ONLY.
