Release Notes:
P.O.S. album "Ipecac Neat" was just voted album of the year by
local newspaper, the Star Tribune. About time to rip this up!
P.O.S., "Ipecac Neat" (Doomtree) -- He's a tattooed, dreadlocked,
punk-rock-loving rapper who's got a few beefs with the president
and anyone else he sees as lacking passion. The real-life Stefon
Alexander, who covered himself in fake blood for the cover of this
debut CD, oozes in anger, frustration and cynicism, some of it
pointed at himself. Fans of KRS-One, Mos Def and Public Enemy -
whose "911 Is a Joke" gets a subtle update here - should dig this
CD, but so should anyone who loves punk attitude and albums that
never stop challenging you. (startribune.com)
