Stir 15 presents the first album of its catalogue with Thorsten Scheu
alias Glance; a test which shows maturity. Already noticed for its
three EP (" Serious Bass ", " Autojamz " and " Performer ") under the
name of Siro at Klang Elektronik like on Stir 15 with its recent
maximum " Strutin' One A Sunday ", then its appearance on compilation
" All Star Alliance ", Glance arrives in time to be used a disc to us
for the atmosphere inspired by the summer and its estival heat. "
Never In Time " is the reflection of the influences " Black Music "
of Thorsten, alternating between titles Deep or Afro House, Hip-Hop
and Soul and offering a mixture subtly homogeneous. In addition the
singer Clair Dietrich (Perlon, Classic) comes to lend to him
hand-strong by posing her voice on " Guess " and " We Can Be Good "
which takes again in the passing the samples pieces " Floating
Through Space " and " Journey Into Love " one of the famous Masters
of the Funk Jazz of the Seventies, I named Lonnie Liston Smith. This
neat album also benefits from remixes including one signed by
Boobjazz which offers here a radiant version shared between 2 Step
Garage and House vocal of " We edge Be good " while the other is
carried out by Glance remixant the title " Flowers " of Glissandro
Brothers (Stir 15) combining the smoothness and the sensuality of Ron
the Trent (Regulation, Clairaudience). In light, " Never In Time " is
an attempt at album succeeded, concluded by good pieces. Even if they
do not revolutionize of anything House Music, at least they have the
merit to illustrate the talent of their creator doubtless promised
with a radiant future. Then before finishing, I advise you to listen
to " The Happy People " and " Question ", this last of a quasi
fairy-like dimension, is equipped with a heat strongly envo√tante and
a straightforwardly hypnotic environment which give again all its
letters of nobility in Deep House.
The tracks "Join Up" and "We can be good" in the original version
are exclusively on the vinyl release of this album.
