Anthony Mea is an extraordinary musician, who has been a
fixture in the growing deep house niche for several years now,
thanks to his consistently soulful and sophisticated style. We
last witnessed an EP from Anthony on Silk Textures in April
2013. We're delighted to welcome him back for another three-
song EP, two-thirds of which was featured (in mixed form) by
Max Flyant and Shingo Nakamura on our recent "Only Silk 03"
compilation. The release kicks off with "True," a lush and
erotic deep house gem. Provocative vocal effects punctuate a
sensual after-hours soundscape, underscored by a steady groove.
"Far Way" features a more uptempo rhythm, while Mea's signature
late-night pads and jazzy instrumentation vividly decorate the
arrangement. Finally, the brand new "Horizon" finds Mea at the
peak of his talents: there's a striking subtlety and elegance
to the various atmospheric effects and melodic motifs in this
beautiful composition.
