:: Indie-rocker and singer-guitarist Doug Painter serves up a
:: blend of hard rock, late 60s pop and addictive hooks in this
:: debut EP.

:: Art and transformation. Or just having fun. Whatever role art
:: plays in a person's life, the art of rock music is Doug
:: Painter's passion.

:: A trained classical guitarist growing up in Washington D.C.,
:: Doug's musical direction took a sharp turn with the influence
:: of rock culture and Marshall amplifiers. For six years, Doug
:: honed his chops playing and singing in D.C. rock bands,
:: including Rainbow (not Ritchie Blackmore's), Spyce and
:: Empire. Doug's east coast following derived from his voice
:: and his reputation as a distinctive rock guitarist, which
:: combines piercing staccatos and assaultive playing with the
:: framework of his classical training.

:: Today, Doug lives in Los Angeles, where he divides his time
:: pursuing his first passion, music, and working as a
:: successful litigation attorney. The city's musical heritage,
:: along with late-60s pop and psychedelia, inspired him to
:: write and record his current CD.
