░ Astro Black is one of Sun Ra`s most exciting
songs, kind of a space chant sung by June Tyson,
the soulful voice of the Sun Ra Arkestra.
Charles ┤Zico┤ Petersohn is a man of Jazz and
Breakbeats and he is lost in Sun Ra`s music. For
the first YAZIKO album he produced an
electrifying downbeat version of Astro Black in
summer 2K3, which took place in different
scenes, especially in the laboratories of the
Vienna Scientists. Charles asked them for a
remix which was the key of the idea to present
the song in different styles.
Vienna`s Freedom Satellite were creating a
marvellous downtempo house anthem, which
represents the song in a brasil flavoured lounge
and dance mix, which sounds a bit like James
Bond 3000.
Zico and Lehna took two more aspects of Sun Ra┤s
musical cosmos, afro beats and Free Jazz, which
are represented in a soulful Drum & Bass track.
Both, the Zico and Lehna Free Jazz and the
Freedom Satellite remix will hopefully find
their way in the great spaces of global club
music and in Sun Ra`s omniversal galaxies, too
The bonus track Laguna Seca is a technoish
highspeed samba (210 bpm) in 3x4, perfect to
blast dancefloors, F1 shows, etc.
This first Zico and Lehna 12 inch EP is a
special release, it is so many different musical
aspects in one. Astro Black is a unique
statement in new fusion music...

▄▓▄ ▀ BeatForge was first established back in the early 90s.
▀ Together with RNS we started the hype of mp3. During the
░ following years BeatForge was the most successful electronic
releasing crew around, but after several splits, the group was
finally closed in the late 90s. Many of the older groups
today have their origin from us.
But now, 6 years later, the legend returns. We are back to
give you the best quality in electronic music as we used to do.
Our main attention is providing you music we love and to live
the old well-known friendly atmosphere within the scene which
is hard to find nowadays. We dont want to fight other
scene-groups thats the job of the fbi.
Last but not least: We do NOT support any way of making
profit out of the scene. Remember and respect the artists
of our beloved music. We are against all p2p networks and
public spreading of our work!
If you think you can provide at least one of the following,
