█ Clawed Forehead is an international alternative █
█ rock band based in Brno, Czech Republic. Five █
█ young people from Iran, Czech and Slovakia who █
█ share the same passion for music. They got █
█ together and created a unique formation of vocal, █
█ violin, two violoncellos and drums with additional █
█ instruments like guitar, Irish flute and others. █
█ The original music style of Clawed Forehead is a █
█ fusion of alternative rock and elements of world █
█ music represented mostly by Nordic and Oriental █
█ melodies. █
█ The band has been playing at the main Czech █
█ festivals and various clubs, both in the Czech █
█ Republic and abroad. Their performance has always █
█ received very positive critics. Recently, they █
█ participated in a music documentary for the BBC █
█ Persian. █
█ Clawed Forehead stage limitless - one of the █
█ greatest attributes of the band is their █
█ instruments which allow them to make an electric █
█ concert as well as acoustic and play anywhere at █
█ any time. █

█ The first traces of Clawed Forehead date back to █
█ 2006 when four originally classical musicians █
█ (three cellists and a violinist) launched a █
█ revival project with rearranged hits of hard rock █
█ icons Metallica and Apocalyptica. Soon after that, █
█ Clawed Forehead enchants the audience with their █
█ own songs composed by one of the members, the █
█ violoncellist Pavel Cadek. █
█ The first studio album called öAt the End of █
█ Springö is released in 2007 and presents pieces █
█ influenced by Finnish music and by fantastic Czech █
█ classics such as Antonφn Dvorßk, Bohuslav Martinu █
█ and LeoÜ Janßcek. █
█ One year later, the original lineup (Kamila █
█ Brßzdilovß, Pavel Cadek, LukßÜ Marecek and Michal █
█ Tucek) suddenly breaks up. After a long period of █
█ searching - several musicians (ètepßn Filφpek, █
█ LukßÜ Mik and Pavel Borsk²) join and leave the █
█ band - one of the founding members, Pavel Cadek, █
█ finally decides to leave and Clawed Forehead is █
█ temporarily disbanded. It doesnæt take long to █
█ bring the band back to life! In 2010, two of the █
█ founding members, Michal Tucek and LukßÜ Marecek, █
█ introduce a new violinist Dominika Pavlinßkovß and █
█ a bassist Lenka Barotkovß. A real breakthrough █
█ comes when a new member, Jakub èpirφk (drums), █
█ joins the band and together with Tucek and Marecek █
█ composes new original songs for Clawed Forehead. █
█ In 2011, Clawed Foreheadæs unconventional █
█ instrumental formation (violin, violoncellos, █
█ contrabass and drums, sometimes even viola da █
█ gamba) is completed by a vocal! A singer, TomßÜ █
█ Frgala, accompanied by the voice of violinist █
█ Pavlinßkovß, starts to sing covers with the band █
█ and gives them the first impulse to write their █
█ own lyrics. At the same time, a new mainly █
█ instrumental album ôPromise of Morrowô is being █
█ recorded and published. █
█ In 2012, Gabriela Povraznφkovß, replaces the █
█ violinist and singer Pavlinßkovß. The band █
█ welcomes also the first official singer Zuzana █
█ èpatnß and later on Tereza Malß who turns into a █
█ true CFæs front man. Clawed Forehead becomes step █
█ by step a renowned band. They reach the grand █
█ finale of the biggest Czech national music █
█ competition äSkutecnß ligaô (Hard Rock CafΘ, █
█ Prague), release their single Falcon and receive █
█ many positive critiques at the main Czech █
█ festivals and numerous concerts. █
█ The 2014 has been a turning year for Clawed █
█ Forehead. Only a great coincidence leads to the █
█ meeting of the band with an Iranian musician and █
█ composer, Soheil Shadloo. Clawed Forehead takes █
█ part in his documentary project for BBC and █
█ records two video clips in a brand new concert █
█ hall Sono Centrum. █
█ After the bassist and the singer suddenly leave █
█ the band, Soheil Shadloo becomes a ew singer and a █
█ front man of Clawed Forehead. Their new album █
█ called ôMy Domainö will be published in the █
█ beginning of 2015 by the Metalage Productions. █
█ The nowadays Clawed Forehead consists of Soheil █
█ Shadloo (vocal and guitar), Gabriela Povraznφkovß █
█ (violin), Michal Tucek (violoncello), LukßÜ █
█ Marecek (violoncello) and Jakub èpirφk (drums). █
█ Their songs vary in genre as well as in languages █
█ including lyrics in English, Czech and Persian. █
