║ Formed in 2011 in Auckland NZ, Advocates set out to make a name for ║
║ themselves in the hardcore and metal scene, creating a sound fused ║
║ with groovy riffs and crushing breakdowns. These elements, in ║
║ combination with a highly energetic on-stage performance make sure ║
║ this band draws crowds to every venue they perform at. Previously ║
║ from The Rest is Silence, drummer Simon Webby and guitarist David ║
║ Smythe formed the band before recruiting Doni Moines on bass, Scotty ║
║ War on Guitar and most recently Michael Coleman on Vocals. The band ║
║ has shared the stage with such bands as We Came as Romans, ║
║ Northlane, A Plea for Purging, Dream on Dreamer and many more. ║

║ Their Debut EP 'Mindless' released June 2012 by We are Triumphant ║
║ Records has gained interest from all around the world with some ║
║ exciting opportunities coming their way. Advocates are a band to ║
║ look out for in the future, with 2012 looking to be a big break for ║
║ them, as they head towards being at the forefront of the New Zealand ║
║ hardcore scene. ║
