Text found on Post-it notes in early January, 2005: Down
the highway leading lead to cancer patients awaiting
chemo therapy I stay transfixed on the gallows on the
left; roadside monuments set to deter crime and add to
the stupefying conclusion that we're better on our own.
Mental shadowboxing fetuses claims to be my heir. I down
tepid coffee, ground up urinal cakes and some pills I
found gathering dust and piss on the bathroom floor at
the truck stop five miles back. This put things in
perspective, for sure. I'm doing ninety in a car made for
going eighty on a fifty road. "The hospital needs me!" -
an answer as good as any but faulty according to the
officer in the mirror telling me to step out of the
vehicle. Tight black pants that accentuate the groin
area, on proud display no less, blue shirt marked with
donut frosting. This cop is clearly raised by bumper
stickers, clearly runs his life from cue cards.
this is a reissue cd with the tracks from the 12" record
on Collective Jyrk, and unrealeased tracks for a split lp
with nice nice. repackaged and remastered!
