in the musical world of pete rivera soul, latin, house and a
comforting, relaxing atmosphere happily live next to each other.

rivera is a lively ambassador in the service of timeless music for

pete rivera also is the mastermind of studio collective rivera
rotation and was born in the south of germany. growing up in ulm
he was infected by seventies soul and the sound the american
forces network radio station afn from his early teens. since 1985
he is a dj in his own right playing a variety of styles from latin
to house. being a full-time hamburg resident since 1988 and
managing director as well musical advisor of everything which
happens in and around lounge club, he organized events with kruder
& dorfmeister, nicolette, jimi tenor , dzihan & kamien, aim,
mystic brew (j-walk), trust in wax, maxwell implosion, le hammond
inferno among many others establishing lounge club as one of the
most successful and stylish hang-outs in hamburg for - and thatÆs
for quite a few years now!
following latinica witch and on the beach, both entered the top 20
of the german dance charts (dcc), rivera rotation just released
their third single yes you are ... accompanying rivera on yes you
are ... you find: producer and mixing-desk-wizard j╓rn erkau who
already designed the distinctive sound of the first two singles
and remixed for missy elliott amongst others, signed to the
soulciety label as an artist (mechanical man), had his own project
(lucky loop) and worked for film, internet and radio. the voice of
yes you are ... is roger cicero. the singer and actor worked for
german jazz greats paul kuhn and peter herbolzheimer. guitar
player sven waje is a well-known studio musician in hamburg. you
can listen to his skills on albums by artists like busta rhymes,
bobby byrd, rad or german hiphop-act eins, zwo.
riveraÆs mix cd series for adults only is out in 2 volumes and
features riveraÆs trademark style of mixing house with classic
latin music. "the mastermind behind hamburgÆs stylish lounge club
and studio collective rivera rotation drops a blistering mix cd.
the summer starts here ...!" wrote british magazine uncut
following the release in spring 2001. for adults only includes
tracks by mood ii swing, vincenzo, the strike boys, azymuth, raw
instinct (mousse t), joe bataan und das new sing sextet.
pete rivera is also the compiler of the renowned music for modern
living series which he conceives together with fellow label-owner
mellow and plays out in like-minded clubs all over his home
country of germany.
