   Never has the phrase 'pregnant pause' been quite so apt in its
   descriptive capacity as it is for the array of techniques deployed by
   Drop The Line on new album, 'This Means Forever'. Littering the record
   with anticipation saturated build-ups and crescendo laden break-downs,
   DTL fully understands the power of the withheld, teasing the listener
   throughout with pauses so pregnant you can almost hear the midwife.
   Schooled in jungle, early rave and hardcore punk, Drop The Line is just
   as comfortable poking fun at Digital Hardcore ('Never, Nah') as he is
   drafting in the assistance of MC Minty to assemble an electro-rendered
   set of percolated beats that clatters through multiple styles (often
   within the same track) DTL manages to compress multiple strands of
   mentalism and acid freakouts in just over 2 and a half minutes on
   'Shaken' whilst 'Press Charges' is a re-wired plundering of Terry Wogan
   narrated kids cartoon 'Stop It and Tidy Up' and 'Rad Girl Killy'
   underpins rock hard synths and snares with 'Girl/Boy'-era Aphex Twin
   rotating beats. Even daring to briefly flirt with Happy Hardcore on
   'Amrgrd Gold', before wisely felling it with a militant-style drive by,
   and displaying a fine singing voice on the panegyric electro-pop of
   'Dubbio', Drop The Lime gleefully takes a boxcutter to our shared
   musical heritage and reimagines it to his liking. If you like Otto Von
   SchirachÆs mashed up styles û youÆll love this freaks!
