     │ Releasenotes: Directed by Lou Barlow, the Kids soundtrack is an excellent, │
     │               moody collection of lo-fi indie rock pleasures. Mainly, it's │
     │               devoted to Barlow's numerous side projects, most notably The │
     │               Folk Implosion, who scored a surprise hit single with the    │
     │               eerie "Natural One." There are also two Daniel Johnston      │
     │               songs, and a contribution from the frightening noise rock    │
     │               band Slint, but the real meat of the package lies with       │
     │               Barlow's songs. Alternately introspective and poppy, they    │
     │               rank among his best work.                                    │
