|  Out of the ashes of the now-defunct DRONE DIMENSION comes The Vera        |
|  Violets - essentially the same band minus one member and plus a           |
|  different member. Their outsize compulsion and whirlpool wall of sound    |
|  is immediately infectious and cannily constructed. The same fabulous      |
|  shoegaze songcrafting is present as was in Drone Dimension - hazy walls   |
|  of sound, crumbling mountains of gliding guitars, hushed-breath vocals -  |
|  all suffocating under a blanket of muffling cotton candy. We see a        |
|  reworked version of "You Turn Me" here - the standout track from Drone    |
|  Dimension's "Faintly Aquainted" album, taken to new heights.              |
