New Order's second album was their giant step out of the looming
shadow of Joy Division, clearly establishing their own unique and
innovative musical identity. Seamlessly incorporating Gillian
Gilbert's lush synth patterns into the mix, Power, Corruption & Lies
springs from the propulsive, almost liquid bass of Peter Hook and
the increasingly strong compositional skills of Bernard Sumner to
firmly install the group as a cutting-edge electronic dance unit,
one with unsurpassed reserves of humanity and depth -- tracks like
"Age of Consent" and the shimmering "Your Silent Face" speak to the
mind and the body in equal measure. The U.S. release also appended
their breakthrough club hit "Blue Monday," a masterpiece of the
genre. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
This is the US Version of this classic synthpop album. It contains
2 tracks not on the previously released version by MTM: Blue
Monday and The Beach... and of course it is also done in HQ VBR as always.

MORAL DiSCLAiMER: We are very aware of the fact that our releases
contribute to the growing sale losses of record companies.
Unfortunately our style primarily targets small, independant labels
that need sales to survive.
For these reasons we ask you not to distribute this release on public
sites or P2P tools; if more and more receive their music from the net,
artists and labels will have to face even less sells than nowadays.
Please do not consider this release as a substitute to the original, but
only as a way to check out and learn about new music.
We absolutely do not approve of DJs or other individuals that earn
money from pirated music - Don't let them get their hands on it!
By buying the albums you like you disperse the guilt we feel by
releasing this music - Enjoy the music and be fair with the artists!
YOUR support is required to keep them financially alive and producing!
