     Label blurb:

"Maybe this is the fifth or sixth release from an
anonymous/unnameable copycat recorder known as johann wlight.
it's difficult to pin the music and the person down. in a scene
with such limited appeal, it takes a certain abstruseness for
wlight to be so wilfully obscure. these home made recordings
arrived at sijis unlabelled and wrapped in an old newspaper.
was it a gift, a demo or a warning? eventually a correspondence
was set up but only by a chance meeting at a merchandise table.
described by wlight as a 'condension of all johann wlight
recordings to date'. 'dauswkn' is 30 minutes of imperceptible
shifts between the ignorable and the mesmerising. silent
voices, keyboards and the sound of life away from the screen
make up this wonderful release that exposes all the lazy drone
makers out there. each listen brings out new layers and new
discoveries. only wlight could risk such a release: so empty of
reference points, yet so calm and surefooted. the karaoke
decomposer's greatest work to date. i promised not to say
enigmatic or mysterious but i've run out of adjectives."

     REVIEWS

     Vital Weekly
Music by Johann Wlight was reviewed before (Vital Weekly 388),
but he is something of an enigma - nothing is known about him.
He works inside the world of field recordings and again, like
on his Evelyn Records release, he offers one piece of thirty
minutes. Drones lurk nicely in the background and on top we
find the silent rumbling of objects, or maybe people moving in
streets doing their shopping. As the piece develops, things
grow thicker and denser. Not unlike some of the finer Lopez
releases, except that Johann's music is more audible. (FdW)

"Sit back and let the hush hit you like a scratchy wool pillow.
Wonderful, enveloping drones of unknown origin, coat the inside
of your frontal lobe the same way peanut butter sticks to the
roof of your mouth. A great label whos motto is 'Music of
Limited Appeal' and whose releases are best heard through the
     nostrils."
