|          Vintage European dance music stylings abound from the Chromatics    |
|          trio. All manner of cosmic disco boxes get checked here: right      |
|          down to the dusky female vocals, the period-perfect synths and the  |
|          slightly dubious recording quality. 'I Want Your Love' is like      |
|          Sally Shapiro crossed with Nico, whilst 'The Killing Spree' is a    |
|          nod to '80s giallo movies (a lot of that around nowadays) while 'A  |
|          Tick Of The Clock makes for an odd, experimental piece of           |
|          metronomically minimal kraut-ish propulsion. And that's not even    |
|          mentioning the improbably good Kate Bush cover. Chromatics tackle   |
|          'Running Up That Hill' with the kind of downtempo seriousness       |
|          you'd be unlikely to associate with a group so steeped in           |
|          seemingly whimsical retro stylings. Great stuff.                    |
