Two works previously released in limited editions
which sold out quickly are now available:
"Running on Emptiness" is an enigmatic power
electronics propaganda machine, presenting an
world-image illuminated only by the light of its
own accelerating self-combustion.
"...Running On Emptiness is absolutely manic, raw
[...] incendiary power electronics (with a death
industrial heart)."
- JC Smith, Seven
"Occult Transmission" is the second album from
Tugend, continuing the advance into a bleak and
pitiless vision of the future. Again the specific
means employed include industrial, dark ambient,
and tactical rhythm.
"I recently went on an urban spelunking expedition
which initiated its decent into a storm drain
system via a manhole inside of a cemetery. Once
into the "moors", the sound of traffic passing
over head was transformed by the old town brick
tunnel walls into an deep and unsettling war
pounding which is almost identical to the rhythmic
content of track 4 "Emergence". [...] this entire
recording sounds like it could have emanated from
the distant end of that same dark tunnel system.
Whether the claustrophobia or heavy air stealing
gasses would overcome the listener before they
clawed their way to the source is another matter
but even as a distant observer, this excellent
disc still has the lingering rush of a close call
and is definitely recommended."
