║ I Shall Devour is a 5 piece Australian band that play a technically ║
║ proficient, brutal form of deathcore that still contains a lot of ║
║ melody and atmosphere, in the vein of bands like Thy Art Is Murder ║
║ and Job For A Cowboy, or perhaps a heavier The Black Dahlia Murder. ║
║ Formed in 2009, the band has been active throughout the years by ║
║ releasing a demo called 'The Great Corruption' self-released on ║
║ Sept. 1st 2010 and their strong debut EP with Skull & Bones called ║
║ 'Manipunation' released on June 7th 2013 (SAB043). ║
║ ║
║ Being an avid listener and appreciator of several genre's of metal, ║
║ I'm confident in saying this is easily the best deathcore album I've ║
║ heard all year, possibly the best deathcore I've ever heard. The ║
║ song selection and sequence is spot on, and the album as a whole has ║
║ no weak points. Other albums I've really enjoyed still had parts ║
║ which I didn't mind skipping through, but this album has none of ║
║ that. Every minute of each song and every note seems meaningful and ║
║ well placed. This album is definitely worth the price of admission. ║
