The music of Alex Gunia is a tightrope walk between JazzRock, Electronic,
Ambient and european Nu-Jazz. On this album you'll find remixes from the
previous albums "Jazz is dead since ┤69" and "9866" that originate from
cooperations of Alex Gunia with internationally acknowledged electronic
artists. The result was an intelligent and exceptionally versatile journey
through the world of todays music. On Remakes unorthodox and interesting
concepts fusion into a great album loaded with relaxing sounds, danceable club
mixes and affectionate melodic essences.
Alex Gunia about Remakes:
"Actually the whole project REMAKES started as an experiment. I wanted to
fathom, if the essence of my music would be sufficient to motivate remixers
from different fields to create something new from the existing. In the
beginning an album wasn't planned. However, after the first tracks by Rob Acid,
Andi Toma of Mouse on Mars and Darknorse Prod., whom I follow since years at
Nils Petter Molvµr, I was hooked and decided to make it a project."
