In the sound-alike, over-sexed arena of contemporary R&B,
Nina Shaw is poised to be the brightest star in the
constellation. This naturally beautiful girl-next door
with the sultry exotic look will prove that sensuality has
its place in the modern day erotica we call todays music.
DaddyÆs little girl is all grown up! Nina grew up in the
hard nosed, quick to get the job done city of Detroit
where the ripple effect of Motown, Aretha Franklin, Anita
Baker and Aahliyah have clearly washed over this aspiring
entertainer. Ms. Shaw reveals, singing always comforted
me, much like Linus and his blanket, music is a form of
therapy and inspiration comes in the form of Patti
Labelle, Mariah Carey, Prince and her mother who would
sing and play the piano to her and her twin brother when
they were young. The apple definitely didn't fall far from
this family tree. She would tell her talented relatives at
the ripe age of three, "I'm going to be a star". Nina's
sense of family is matched only by her love of GOD and
music. At nine years old, Nina led her church choir, at
twelve; she entered and won her first talent show,
performing Karen Whites, Super Woman. Nina grew vocally
after joining groups and studying Opera every summer at a
local University. She later attended Southern University
in Louisiana before making the move to California where
she currently resides. Needless to say, Nina Shaw has gone
through the trials and tribulations of many up-and-comers,
and at the age of 22, this writer/arranger has remained
passionate about her music and optimistic that anyone
within the sound of her vocals will experience the
emotions she conveys in her exotic melodies. As a
testament to her compassionate and approachable nature,
she ends every autograph with a heart. It's hard to get
this former high school cheerleader down. Everyone in this
business has a story, and Nina Shaw φs just getting
