Following the massive hit "Bossa per Due" (although not shown on
MTV) included in various compilations, Nicola Conte's first album,
"Jet Sounds", follows. Continuing with the same cinematic,
mysterious and ecletic atmospheres, this album is full of rich
influences that go from Talvin Singh to Jazzanova, The Cinematic
Orchestra and a lot more. This englobes a wide variety of genres
such as drum'n'bass, trip-hop, jazz and bossa nova which blend
together to fit in the film music spirit Conte wants to provide
with his music. It's a journey through the Italian perspective of
the new scene with plenty of vibraphone, flute, swinging
percussions and west coast baritone sax. He does look like a secret
agent anyway...
