Certified bomb alert!! Since we first clapped ears on a pre-release mp3
of the latest and best Speicher, the sense of anticipation surrounding
its arrival has built into something approaching fever pitch here. Sure
there's been great Jonson tracks aplenty over the last few months, for
Wagon Repair, It Is What It Is, Arbutus, but nothing could or can
prepare you for this monster tune. There's an almost gregorian air to
the vocal and string motif which lays eerily over this killer, a dub
inflected bassline builds into a spacious breakdown and then one of the
most unhinged bass assaults you've never been prepared for - delaying,
teasing you, almost denying the four four hats moment to the throes of
absolute ecstasy - there's something so right about this record it
hurts. Axel Bartsch must feel quite sad to know his b-side's gonna be
picking up more than its fair share of fingerprints and slipmat dust,
just watch this tune escalate this spring into a must play for pretty
well everyone. With Jonson set to go supernova after his Chemical
Brothers remix drops in a few weeks - you know this is a prime one to
