Release Notes:
Here is the 3rd album from DC's Zwei. They have always had a funky component to
their music, but for this set they've really pushed the groove to the front of
their mix. The duo worked in a mode that's playfully bouncy on most numbers but
nicely offset by some great mellow soul ballads as well.
Notably this album was recorded with their live band 'The Bros' (a band of brothers
with funk, gospel, hip-hop, and jazz roots), Kyle Funn (a trumpeter with jazz/funk
sensibility and style), and Sol Edler (who is making waves in the R&B/neosoul
community with his own CD) singing on background vocals.
