After the well received MNL debut 'Trade Wind Blows' earlier this
year, we decided to ask Christopher Ivor to do a full EP on our Manual
Music label and here it is!
This emering artist from Amsterdam signed his first releases to
Einmusika, Chapter 24 and MNL over the past 2 years and is the driving
force behind the infamous HENK parties in his hometown. He has a very
disctinctive warm sound that appeals to many music lovers and DJ's,
always finding a nice crossover between deep house, progressive house
and melodic techno.
On 'Virtu3 EP' Christopher makes his Manual Music debut with 3 fresh,
warm, dance floor friendly tracks. The EP kicks off with 'Virtueyes',
a sexy deep builder with an oozing bassline that keeps you craving for
more. Moving onwards to the next track 'The Hider' lays down a happy
bouncy vibe which transists into that trademark warm melodic
Christopher Ivor sound. The final track 'Dominion B' is the roughest
one in the pack and immediately starts off with some fierce percussive
elements and building towards a roaring bassline which reminds us of
the classic techno sound of the early 00s.
All in all a very strong package by an artist from who we expect to
hear a lot more in the (near) future. Keep your ears open for
Christopher Ivor!
