:: Who is æWillie & Me? Willie, born Willie G. Martin Jr. is an
:: outstanding musician. By age 10 he had mastered the electric
:: bass, guitar, and drums. The Army band pushed him to
:: æStellarÆ class as he mastered the upright bass, percussion,
:: and piano during his enlistment in Germany. Willie, the
:: father of three boys, once owned a successful driving school
:: by day and was a producer/musician by night. Willie has spent
:: the past ten years homeless, living under a bridge in
:: downtown Sacramento. Until he met the Me in Willie & Me,
:: his aspirations to record an album were taxed and slowly
:: coming unglued. When asked what inspired him to record the
:: 'Willie & Me' album, he is quick to respond that he was
:: helping "Miss Kym" realize her full potential.

:: Kimberly L. Botts better known as Sacramento female vocalist
:: Kym is the Me in Willie & Me. She is a Veteran of the
:: US Air Force where she served 10 years as a Communications
:: technician. While stationed in England she was a back ground
:: singer for the touring band 'Live Wyre'. When she returned to
:: the states, she won the regional Tops and Blues talent show
:: for female Vocalist and Dramatic arts. From the talent show
:: she was discovered by producer Henry Hill III and was
:: officially initiated onto the music scene in 2000 with her
:: debut cd My Mind released under the indie label Critone
:: Records. "I learned a lot about the industry in one big gulp
:: that nearly choked me." She chuckles. "I needed to learn more
:: about the music business, that is why at the end of my
:: contract with Critone Records I enrolled in college instead
:: of signing with a major label." Today she is a Commercial
:: Music Major at American River College in Sacramento, Ca
:: finishing degrees in both the Recording and Music Business
:: concentrations.

:: Since commencing her studies, Kym founded Plain Jayne
:: Recording Studios. That is how she met Willie. "I was
:: collaborating and engineering with the band Joyride and
:: they brought over Willie, their new bass player. No one told
:: me he was homeless, but I could tell at first glance there
:: was something different about him. During a band break we
:: talked and he told me his dream to record his own album and
:: asked if I would help him, of course I said yes.Æ
