▐███▄▄ ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Latest collection of broken-hearted loveliness from Neo ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Ouija featuring brand new, exclusive and carefully ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ selected quiet gems from : Xela, Praveen, Maps and ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Diagrams, Cepia, Seven Ark, Zegunder, Pandatone, Julien ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Neto, Sense, and loads more û 16 tracks in total for a ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ generous price. ZegunderÆs fixation with Angelo ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ BadalmentiÆs widescreen style is supplemented on his ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ contribution here by a brooding poised ambient sound ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ which would sit remarkably comfortably with some of the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ quieter moments on Ulrich SchnaussÆ second album. Julien ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Neto prepares for his debut Type album with his second ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ appearance on a Cottage Industries compilation û his ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ track is undoubtedly one of the highlights here, autumnal ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ mournful opening inexorably moving into a dusty realm, ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ the sound of brushes on drums seems to lend the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ electronics a human aspect. And here is the unifying ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ theme of this compilation, aside from its musical quality ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ û a tactile approach to electronics for once. Seven ArkÆs ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ debut album for Neo just appeared a month back, and this ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ South African producer was favourably compared to Bola ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ for what turned out to be a real grower. Praveen follows ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ with a bonus track not included on his recent album - ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ exhibiting a nascent feel for melody and texture û here ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ softly toying with piano and deftly teased ambient tones. ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ Reporter æs track fascinates with a sense of supreme ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ stillness, and the sequence into Cepia - last heard ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ recording for Ghostly International and Semisexual - is ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ seamless and quite breathtaking û feint disjunctive lines ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ of a finely tuned beauty. Again weÆre back into piano ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ based solitude with Atone, whoÆs sound is as rigorous as ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ the name might suggest, only a deal more gentle. ThereÆs ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ a fuller sound on offer from Maps and Diagrams û the ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ trademark idm rhythmic rolls offset by early morning ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ break of day chords and a delightful melodic aspect. To ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ end thereÆs a couple of absolute beauties: Ido Govrin ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ employs vibes and a guitar to telling effect, and so its ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ left fittingly to Xela to take us out - with some ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ accordion, acoustic guitar and his emotionally crushing ░██▌▄▀
██▌▄▀█ grip on melody. ░██▌▄▀
