| VARIOUS ARTISTS - Finery Ep |
| |
| The Finery series is a new concept from Fine Records dedicated to |
| unearthing new and emerging talent. Each EP will feature 4 new |
| tracks from 4 new artists, all of whom keep one eye on the |
| dancefloor. We're really chuffed with the first one which |
| features 2 electro acid floorfillers from Ooney Project and |
| Kasper Bjorke and 2 deeper numbers from Voltique and Bulk Powder. |

| BULK POWDER - Why? |
| |
| Bulk Powder, more usually known as Jez, is the pseudonym for this |
| project, which was started in early 2001. This is a first venture |
| into solo productions, as Bulk usually makes up one half of a |
| mysterious duo who have been releasing records on the Munich |
| based label, Disko B. Bulk is keen to keep his sound unique, and |
| confidently uses as much analogue equipment as possible. |

| KASPER BJORKE - The Kids Are Going Down |
| |
| 29 year old Kasper Bj°rke has always been a dedicated musiclover, |
| ranging from indie to old school hip hop when he grew up, Kasper |
| turned his ears towards electonic music in the mid 90┤s and has |
| since received two Danish Music Awards and six Danish Dj Awards |
| for producing & remixing. Now Kasper appears for the first time |
| solo, under his own name on The Finery EP with his track ôThe |
| Kids Are Going Downö. KasperÆs productions follows many |
| directions, and are inspired by the electro, tech house, rock and |
| the new wave scene, trying to build a bridge between the |
| underground and the more commercial sound with crisp, nodging |
| basslines and teasing buildups. This particular track was |
| inspired by the life that clubbers from Copenhagen lead. |

| OONEY PROJECT - Killing Myself Softly |
| |
| Ooney's music love story started with the very first record he |
| bought when he was 6, back in 1981, the Kiss album, "creatures of |
| the night" just after he saw their video clip on TV...he then |
| decided to become a rock star to get the same big flashy dragon |
| boots and started composing music with is father's vintage Welson |
| organ. Thankfully for him, and us, he had the opportunity to |
| listen to better music afterwards which made him leave the welsh |
| organ and the dragon boots and switch to turntables, vintage D6 |
| HOhner clavinet, analogue synths and sampling machines in the |
| early 90's. |

| He is now involved in electronic music productions and has been |
| DJing for ten years but "Killing Myself Softly" is his first solo |
| release. Ooney's ambition through his new music project is to mix |
| huge sounds, fat groovy beats and great musical ideas in a unique |
| combination, the missing link between electro, rock/pop and disco |
| for all dance music lovers. |

| VOLTIQUE - Smell Of Sweat |
| |
| The chemistry between DJ Joxe and Sebastian Silber works on the |
| classic level - DJ meets producer, DJ introduces producer to the |
| secrets and codes of club music while producer shows the DJ what |
| happens when you twist a few knobs. For their joint project |
| "Voltique" the two Stuttgarters have developed their own sound |
| aesthetic, blending the blatancy of 80s Electro, New Wave and |
| Italo Disco with tricky minimalist production in their very own |
| handwriting. "Smell Of Sweat" follows previous release "Be loud" |
| out on Get Physical. |

| J.L.HENNEY - Me And My Dog |
| |
| J.L.Henney is the artist name for new Fine signing 19 year old |
| producer Jack Henney. Jack was born and brought up in North |
| London where he still lives now and where his studio is based. He |
| started Djing at the tender age of 14 and a year later started |
| playing out on pirate radio. After a couple of years, what Jack |
| describes as a natural progression, he started to focus on |
| production & writing music and in his own words became |
| ôobsessedö. With a talent such as his it was only a matter of |
| time before he was picked up and headed for the big time and Fine |
| are proud to be the first to release his material. |
| |
| Jack sums up his sound on this particular project as electronic |
| house music with big bass sounds, fluttering melodies and more of |
| a melodic/euphoric sound than a lot of electro. This is bouncy |
| electro house in the vein on Linus Loves and Breastfed records. |
| |
| Following mixes for Miss Kitten & Kevin Mark Trail and their own |
| single on Wall Of Sound dynamic duo Cass & Tom Mangan come on |
| board for remix duties & tear up the original with a tough |
| straight up electro workout already a firm favourite in the boxes |
| of the likes of Lee Burridge and Paolo Mojo. |
