matt chicoine's follow-up to the blockbusting planet e album
"cardiology" has been some time coming, but it's been worth it if
the rest of the new lp lives up to this, the lead single "dust".
you could count on one hand the people with a cd-r promo of this
back in 2004 and boy, didn't they just love to rub it in, dropping
this beauty at clubs and on the radio until it was #3 in gilles
peterson's yearly worldwide winners poll and #1 on every spotters
wants list. a jaunty, bumpy off-kilter house rub with the merest
hint of afro-funk and joe dukie's tasty vocals, it's not got any
of the techno elements you might expect! an assured party tune, if
there's only one that's going to rock it, it's this one.
