Nathan Burke (The Out_Circuit, Frodus) met Chaz Barber (Brahm)
in 1999 a little after the recording of the final Frodus album
as Shelby (Frodus) whispered the name "Chaz" numerous times in
order to have his collaboration on their album. It didn't end
up occurring but soon said luminaries were introduced and they
connected on their mutual interest in ambient electronic music
within the oncoming winter months. After little conversation
they decided to collaborate. Their efforts yielded many
compositions, and before the sun had risen their nocturnal
sound creations came to fruition and were solidified under the
guise of "Night is Invisible". Focusing on atmosphere and
detail such as those "in-between" moments in film where the
camera pans subtly past a lonely street to reveal for mere
seconds a flickering yellowed light and unknown shadows cast
upon cracked concrete. The moments extend beyond their
allotted time and become stories unto themselves. This is
music to slow down life and enhance these moments; present yet
blending into the fabric of life itself.
