| Another year has passed since Metro Area last shook up the scene |
| with METRO AREA 5. In the last 12 months, the duo has been hard |
| at work in the studio, redefining and refining their innovative |
| sound. The mixdown has occurred, the 2-track slammed, and now |
| Environ is proud to present the latest outing: METRO AREA 6! This |
| release finds Metro Area continuing on their quest for fresh |
| sounds and timeless production, expanding the compositional |
| palette while retaining the emotional spirit of their first |
| releases. Following on from their last EP, Metro Area have pushed |
| themselves to once again make heartfelt, personal music that |
| stands out from what the rest of the dance music pack is doing. |
| ôHoney Circuitö leads off at 45 RPM and spread over a full A-side |
| of wax. Chock full of sonic detail and suspenseful arrangements, |
| this track has the bassline and rhythm to slam the dance floor |
| and the musical hooks to lock in minds, including unusual vocal |
| lines sensually executed by Wanda Felicia. ôRhythm Reel #6? is a |
| deep DJ mix tool that hearkens back to the pioneering rhythm |
| track records that are dear to the duoÆs hearts. Closing the |
| B-side out, ôThings Fallö is a midtempo cosmic jam that conveys a |
| chugging, hypnotic groove while maintaining musical twists that |
| will arouse even the most jaded headphone junkie. The jacking |
| rhythm, Detroit-meets-R&B chords and a horn section led by UK |
| hotshot Graeme Blevins make this track unique, riding the fine |
| line between raw floor function and pure listening bliss. Check |
