| "Codeine Dub" is Digital Jockey's second album on Poets Club |
| Records ... and again, it's a concept album. "Codeine Dub" |
| combines "Rhythm&Sound" like dub tracks with melancholic piano |
| sounds and (on four songs) the brillant, soulful voice of Berlin |
| based R&B singer Terry Armstrong. Digital Jockey used Armstrong's |
| silky gospel voice instead of a classic reggae/dub crooner to set |
| up an own, unique standard. He choosed the format dub for his |
| album because it seems to be the ideal opportunity for |
| "slow-motion" music (for example, the track "Opium Dub" is the |
| slowest with only 47 Bpm). Digital Jockey is the founder of the |
| Computer Jockeys (e.g. "Ping Pong") with whom he has produced two |
| albums up to now which were released on the cult label Harvest/EMI |
| and Island Records/Mercury. The second Computerjockey album |
| featured also the title song of the MTV AnimΘe "Golden Boy". His |
| first solo album as Digital Jockey was released under the title "8 |
| Studies in Dub" in October 2000. "Paradies und Fragment" |
| (subtitle: "Nine studies in classical music") was his first |
| release at Poets Club Records.The press described his album as " |
| ...sounds like Kraftwerk playing in a classical orchestra." ...a |
| brillant description for this album! Digital Jockey has studied |
| philosophy and plays four instruments. |
