Boogie Corporation return to 2020 with their funked-up second
release, 'Dirty Rips' EP. After the success of last year's 'Lay the
Funk' EP, Barry Reeves and Calum Walker again give us their unique
combination of old-skool cool and cutting-edge digital the way they
do best. It's all about the funk! Rock Til Ya Drop is another superb,
retro funk jam as suited to big rooms as it is to sweaty underground
joints. It's another wicked piece of good-time electro funk that
flies along on a well- hung bassline, disco synths and fat drums with
a stupid grin on its face. Our Machines Move is an electro/disco
treat that owes a debt to Moroder's classic Donna Summer bassline and
in the right hands at the right time will have the dancer's vogueing,
thinking they are on the Studio 54 dancefloor sharing a coke spoon
with Bianca Jagger. Next up our young upstarts The Electric Press get
busy with Rock Til Ya Drop and add their trademark tight ass beats,
sharp synths and give it a slight kick up the jacksy whilst treating
it with up-most respect. Think 4 Yourself rounds the EP off in style,
