Le Chant Du Monde has gathered several groups of young singers who
perform their own compositions and traditional songs transmitted by
families. "Takini" takes up part of the repertoire of the songs of
the Takini Dance Group, a group of professional dancers from
different reserves. All traditional solo songs are sung and
accompanied with a hand drum by Archie Little. The flute pieces are
compositions and performances by the Dakota Bryan Akipa, a member of
the Sisseton Wahpeton.
