Andy Jarrod has been releasing music since 1997, when his debut single
"Storm Cycle" helped to redefine the underground sound and pushed the
boundaries of what progressive house could be. It took the progressive
house scene by storm. Not long afterward, a number of remixes came to
receive much attention from DJs the like of Sasha and Anthony Pappa.
Following his recent release on Forged Recordings, Jarrod is once again
crafting a great rhythmic track of epic proportion that is sure to get
a lot of club play. You don't want to miss the dark, hypnotic, funky
tribal journey that jerks you on to the dance floor treadmill. Andy
Jarrod has gained truck loads of respect over the last couple of years,
and his remix of "What Sounds Are" is as good as ever - underground
sound that utilizes a contemporary production techniques that focus
more on the tribal rhythms, something that always seems to appeal to
the ears.
The Original Mix of Chris Carter's "What Sounds Are" is one hell of a
mightly breakbeat stormer. The beauty of this track isn't the
intricate melodies; It's the energy created by the punchy hooks and
deep bass sounds coupled with the vocals that carries the track to
some degree. The 4/4 Mix has way way slowed voice that some would say
is odd and used wrong to some extend. Two good tracks of different
styles make this EP a complete winner.
