Highly acclaimed DJ, club pioneer and Bugged Out! resident Erol
Alkan releases his long awaited debut mix album "A Bugged Out Mix"
on Resist Music on April 25th.
The Bugged Out mix perfectly captures Erol, as if at a Bugged Out
party. It kicks off with an excerpt from Deep Purple's 'Hush' to
grab your attention and then dives straight into a rockin' dub of
Soulwax's 'E Talking' which features LCD Soundsystem's Nancy Whang
on vocals.
Elsewhere, it features charismatic, electro from Steve Bug, DJ T and
Romain Flugal (his huge club hit 'Geht Noch'), an exclusive track
from Tiga - "Move My Body" (Only 4 Erol Mix) and Erol's own Deaf
Disco Revised re-edit of Alter Ego's monster chart hit 'Rocker'.
There are a couple of Erol's special re-edits that have been tearing
the roof off at recent Bugged Out's. Simian's shouted acapella from
'Never Be Alone' rides over Superdiscount's bass-fuelled 'Fast
Track' and his much lauded re-edit of Josh Wink's legendary 'Higher
States of Consciousness' peaks with a little help from The Rapture.
In stark contrast his Bugged In selection is a late night trip
through Erol's huge, diverse record collection. The place in his
heart for rock'n'roll and psychedelia is well known as Erol is also
the dj and promoter of the legendary 'Trash' club in London and new
psychedelic night 'Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve.'
