Album notes:
"This album represents a movement from a position of frustrating
circumstantial paralysis to creative liberation and joy through
reconnection to my musical and spiritual roots. Indigo was
conceptualised in 1998. At this point in time this instrumentation
and type of material was unique on the British Jazz scene. When the
compositions were written there were no specific musicians in mind.
After a short period of exploration the natural conclusion was the
four musicians that now comprise Indigo. This project was the first
time I had played with Tom Skiner it also felt like a rebirth in my
musical relationship with Tony and Larry although we had all played a
large part in each others formative musical years.
