. Tokyo computer virtuoso TANAKA HIDEYUKI seem to have found .
. the perfect formula for fresh avantguarde sounds that leave .
. you asking "how the f*ck did he do this" without ever .
. becoming to top-heavy or academic: he knows how to move but. .
. take "sign expression" centered around a earthy, stoic .
. bassdrum bringing structure to the turmoil of voice cut-ups, .
. swirling sounds and filtered snares. "3vs4" is the most .
. experimental production on here: disolving the 4/4 structure .
. into a swaggering, skanking offbeat, adding flickering organ .
. chords that give the tune an atmosphere like the soundtrack .
. to a modern film noir. "wicked loop in life" is on a lighter .
. note yet starts out with the strange combination of deep .
. chords with tongue-in-cheek comic voices before a distorted .
. bassline kicks in an turns it into one of the most oddball .
. dancefloor rockers. label head DAPAYK boils it down to a .
. minimal beat ode with great percussive sample use. .
. definitely a special treat for more discerning minimal .
. floors!! .
