Release Notes:
Your crates just got a whole lot lighter -- because this collection brings
together a huge amount of funky James Brown tracks in one wicked set! The title
kind of says it all -- as all the tracks in the collection are ones that have
been sampled over the years, and are a good reminder of the fact that even
though James was one of the first to be used in the blueprint of hip hop back in
the 80s, his work has had a continuing influence over the years that's simply
tremendous. The notes really reinforce this fact too, as they list all known
samples of each tune in the set -- ranging from a handful on some numbers, to
dozens of tracks for the legendary "Funky Drummer"! 2CD set features a total of
24 tracks in all -- and titles include "There It Is", "Make It Funky", "Stoned
To The Bone", "Cold Sweat", "Blind Man Can See It", "Sex Machine", "Say It
Loud", "Mind Power", "Funky President", "Funky Drummer", "The Payback", "Get On
The Good Foot", "Escape-ism", "Papa Don't Take No Mess", "Get Up Offa That
Thing/Release The Pressure", "My Thang", "It's A Man's Man's Man's World", and
"I Got Ants In My Pants".
