|          The term Ghost Gardens alludes to the fact that despite houses and  |
|          places being abandoned or even forgotten regardless of the          |
|          circumstances; gardens that were originally planted decades         |
|          earlier continue to grow and reappear year after year despite       |
|          their caretakers absence.                                           |

|          Elliott Brood's Ghost Gardens began with the rediscovery of a lost  |
|          computer drive that contained demo songs from a decade and a half   |
|          earlier, the beginning of the bands career to be exact. Like most   |
|          artists these demos were sketches, pencil drawings of ideas that    |
|          might someday form songs. As it happened the drive was misplaced    |
|          and forgotten in a garage, just sitting dormant in an old suitcase  |
|          waiting to be found and unearthed years later when the band was     |
|          cleaning house and pulling up roots to relocated their families to  |
|          Hamilton Ontario.                                                   |
|                                                                              |
|          Not often in life does a band get to step back in time to           |
|          rediscover their younger selves and get to amend or alter that      |
|          existence. In an odd way this is the band rediscovering their       |
|          former selves while simultaneously being years wiser both           |
|          musically and lyrically.                                            |
|                                                                              |
|          With the bands relocation to Hamilton came a new studio where the   |
|          band would meet to write and record on a daily basis over the       |
|          course of this album. The intimacy and rawness of the band can be   |
|          heard and felt in these new set of recordings. This is a new        |
|          chapter in the life of Elliott Brood.                               |
