Marking their foray into the digital world, the highly talked about techno
imprint SocialExperiment steps away from its usual no remixes ethos to
commission production heavyweight Chris Liebing for the reworking of a special
cut from Toronto artist MarioJ under his AD/D moniker. Mario J has a long
musical history, including having run Method 11:11, a much-laudedtechno label
that ran from 1996 to 2000, which counted CLR boss Chris Liebingamongst its
fans. The imprint ran at the same time as Marios much loved Industry night
club, which housed a series of infamous Method 11:11 label parties amongstother
things. Chris Liebing is a German techno giant who founded CLR and commands
vastaudiences with his powerful and experimental techno all over the world. For
this remixhe took loops and sounds from the AD/D original, creating a
super-sized, turbocharged techno roller with pressurised drums, subtle sounds
peeling off the grooveand huge hi hat ringlets. It destroys all in its wake and
is the sound of a post-apocalyptic future. This is a sensational new track
imbued with classic sounds yet very much built for thefuture, and it is sure to
wreak havoc on the dance floors of the world. Once again then Social Experiment
offers up a techno gem that is certain to find favour with the underground
elite.
